This year, why not mix a little philanthropy with your weekend golf outings? It's fun. It's easy. And it may just stir your competitive juices.

The cause is Keshet, one of Milwaukee's most critical children's programs. Through Keshet, students with developmental disabilities are able to attend Jewish day schools, learn alongside siblings and friends and build self esteem.

Birdies for Keshet enables you to support this important program while enjoying one of your favorite warm weather activities. And our new pledge system gives you an incentive to take your game to the next level.

All you need to do is:

• Sign up as a Birdies for Keshet golfer
• Get some friends to sponsor you, and...
• Report your results on this site after each outing

Your "results" are the number of birdies, pars and bogies you made during your outing. At the end of each month we'll multiply your results times the amounts pledged by your sponsors. Then we'll send each sponsor an e-mail message to announce the amount you earned for Keshet. Our messages will include a link to the JFS online donation system to make pledge payments quick, easy and convenient.

Sponsors can also use an online form to set their pledge amounts. To keep our golfers motivated -- and add to the fun -- sponsors can pledge different amounts in the birdie, par and bogie categories.
